Austen was born and raised in Draper, Utah, and is an outdoor enthusiast. With interests in sustainability, soil conservation, and sustainable development. When not working, Austen is frequently found in the remote Utah desert or High Alpine Uinta Mountains. As a self-declared outdoors enthusiast, he enjoys camping, whitewater kayaking, hiking, downhill skiing, and anything else that gets him into the wilderness.
